Sondex Plate Heat Exchangers for the UK |
Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers (GPHE):
|
| |
Through technological innovation SONDEX has developed and designed
a new generation of plate heat exchangers.
With its wide range of plate heat exchangers SONDEX has got
the best technical solution for any possible task, with connection
sizes from Ø15 - Ø500 mm covering a liquid flow
of 50 l/hour - 2000 m3/hour.
The construction of the inlet part allows perfect distribution
of the liquids across the heating surface. The inlet part is
increased and supplied with grooves preventing "dead spots" which
may cause the growth of bacteria in the plate heat exchanger.
The inlet with grooves ensures a strong inlet part with a minimum
of
contact points.
Standard plate range includes industrial, hygienic, free-flow, and double wall
'SonderSafe'. DN25 to DN500 (UK stock models up to DN100).

| |
Free Flow Plates:
|
| |
Free Flow plates are designed for liquids containing fibres
or other particles which may clog up a traditional plate heat
exchanger. SONDEX Free Flow plates are designed without metal
contact between the plates in the liquid area, giving a high
turbulence and thus a high heat transmission coefficient and
a long power time.
|
| |
Double Wall 'Sonder Safe' Plates:
|
| |
SONDEX Sonder Safe system consists
of two thin flow plates stamped together. This allows possible
leaks to be seen from outside between the
two plates. This prevents a mixing of the products and warns about
internal leaks.
|
| |
Semi-Welded Plate Heat Exchangers (WPHE):
|
| |
Semi welded plates are built up in plate cassettes.
A plate cassette is 2 plates welded together by laser welding.
The advantage of this construction is a welded plate channel
and a traditional plate channel with gaskets making assembling
and cleaning of the traditional plate side easier. On the welded
side there are two specially produced corner-hole gaskets creating
the tightening between the two cassettes. The gasket is reduced
to a minimum on the welded side.
Up to DN300 for refrigerant applications.

| |
Sondex Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers (SPS):
|
| |
This heat exchanger works in the
same way as an ordinary tubular unit. However, it is more efficient
because plates have been used instead of tubes. The plates are
laser/TIG welded together to form a plate pack, which is then
mounted inside a traditional cylindrical shell.
The heat exchanger is produced as an all welded exchanger or with
flanges. This makes manual cleaning possible.
Pressure rating: PN16/PN25. Max temp.: Up to 2500 C.
|
| |
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers (BPHE):
|
| |
The brazed plate heat exchanger does not contain rubber gaskets
and can operate constantly at temperatures from minus 1800 C
up to plus 200C.
The operating pressure can be as high as 30 bar.
Many sizes in UK stock.
